Ofterschwang – wandern auf dem Hörner Panoramaweg
Für eine Wanderung zum Saisonstart oder mit der Familie ist der Hörner Panoramaweg eine beliebte Tour. Wer zumindest einen Teil der Route abseits der Massen gehen möchte, der kann diese Variante der Hörner Panoramatour gehen. Generell war es an unserem Wandersonntag eher ruhig, da die Bergbahnen aufgrund von Corona noch geschlossen waren. Die Menschen sammelten sich lediglich etwas auf den Gipfeln.
Der Hörner Panoramaweg ab Ostertal
- Länge: ca. 12 km / 600 Höhenmeter
- Dauer: 4,5 Stunden
- Anfahrt: Ostertal Parkplatz, Ostertalweg 1, 87544 Blaichach / Gunzesried
Fast wären wir am falschen Parkplatz gelandet, da uns das Navi vorbei an der Auffahrt nach Ostertal geschickt hat. Solltet ihr euch ebenfalls am Parkplatz Gunzesrieder Säge wiederfinden ist das der falsche Parkplatz. Etwas weiter vorne geht eine kleine Straße bergauf. Hier erreicht ihr nach kurzer Fahrt den Parkplatz Ostertal (Kosten 2,- Euro für 4 Stunden oder 3,- Euro für 12 Stunden).
Von dort wandern wir etwas zurück und es geht rechts auf den Wanderweg. Wir gehen über einen schönen Weg zwischen Wiesen und unbewirtschafteten Alpen leicht bergauf. Wir passieren auch die Ober-Älpfe sowie die Rangiswanger Alpe. Auf den Weg können wir die Nagelfluhkette bestaunen. Wir wandern heute langsam und sind nach 1,5 Stunden auf der Grathöhe zwischen Weiherkopf und Rangiswanger Horn angekommen. Jetzt befinden wir uns auf dem Hörner-Panoramaweg. Wir gehen nach links weiter und erreichen nach 10 Minuten den Gipfel des Rangiswanger Horn. Von hier aus haben wir einen tollen Blick ins Illertal und nach Sonthofen. Auch der Grünten ist heute gut zu erkennen. Zusammen mit einigen anderen Wanderern packen wir die Gipfelbrotzeit aus.
Auf zum Ofterschwanger Horn
Nach unserer Stärkung geht es erstmal bergab und es folgt ein gemächlicher Wanderweg durch teils schattigen Wald. Unser nächstes Ziel ist ein weiterer kleiner Gipfel: das Ofterschwanger Horn. Nach einer Stunde Gehzeit sind wir dort angekommen und genießen den Ausblick sowie die Sonne auf einer Wiese zwischen Frühlingsblumen.
Danach beenden wir unseren Tag in den Bergen und wandern gemächlich zurück zum Parkplatz Ostertal. Dazu einmal ums Ofterschwanger Horn herum in Richtung Weltcup Express. Vor dort einfach den Wegweisern nach Ostertal folgen.
Fazit
Zum Wandern in Ofterschwang zum Saisonstart ist diese leichte Wanderung ideal. Nicht zu lang und nicht zu schwer und im Mai schneefrei. Der Blick über Sonthofen und die Nagelfluh Kette ist wunderschön und macht Lust auf alle Wanderungen, die in der Wandersaison noch kommen mögen.
